Domain
PostgreSQL database architecture and development environment

Built for PostgreSQL developers who need clarity

Domain started in 2025 when a group of database engineers realized that most PostgreSQL training was either too abstract or too rushed. We built this platform to fix that problem.

Our webinars connect developers directly with PostgreSQL specialists who work with the database every day. No scripted presentations, no sales pitches — just focused sessions on query optimization, indexing strategies, schema design, and performance troubleshooting.

How we actually run these sessions

86min
Average session length

Each webinar is structured around a specific PostgreSQL challenge that comes up in production environments. We keep groups small enough for participants to ask questions during the session.

Instructors share their screen, walk through actual database configurations, and explain the reasoning behind each decision. Participants can bring their own scenarios to discuss, and we often extend sessions when the conversation is productive.

Sessions are recorded and available to registered participants for 18 months. All code examples and query scripts are provided as downloadable files immediately after each webinar.

PostgreSQL performance metrics and analysis tools

Instructors who maintain production databases

Every person leading a webinar manages PostgreSQL systems that handle real traffic. They know what breaks, what scales, and what causes headaches at 3am. That experience shapes how they teach.

Case studies from actual deployments

Instead of generic examples, we use anonymized scenarios from companies running PostgreSQL in production. Participants see the constraints, tradeoffs, and decisions that led to specific implementations.

No geographic barriers

We broadcast to developers across Canada, from North Battleford to Toronto to Vancouver. Time zones are marked clearly in the schedule, sessions are recorded, and the chat tool stays active for follow-up questions after each webinar ends.

Who runs Domain

Kieran spent eight years building and scaling PostgreSQL deployments for logistics companies, financial platforms, and healthcare systems. He noticed that most training programs either skip the practical details or overwhelm participants with theory they won't use.

Domain was created to bridge that gap. Kieran assembled a network of PostgreSQL specialists across Canada who were willing to share what they've learned through hands-on webinars. The platform handles scheduling, streaming infrastructure, and participant management so instructors can focus on teaching.

Our location in North Battleford, Saskatchewan gives us a different perspective than most tech platforms. We work with developers in rural areas, mid-sized cities, and major metros — all facing similar PostgreSQL challenges but with different resource constraints.

If you want to know whether a specific webinar topic fits your needs, or if you're considering becoming an instructor, email Kieran directly at [email protected]. He reads every message and responds within 48 hours.
